Great tribute but you forgot "Am I Grooving You"!

A great lose. This man was perhaps the under-rated soul-singer. Forget the show-tuney stuff: that sides he cut with Bert Berns, like Are You Lonely For Me, are masterpieces. A man to be remembered.

You know I call myself a fan of "oldies" but I'm ashamed to say I didn't even know the name Freddie Scott before I came across a couple tribute posts in mp3 blogs this month. These mixes are a terrific introduction to his body of work. Thanks so much for that.

While listening to the tribute, tears are scrolling down my face. Well, we were just about neighors more than a decade ago, and i'd say close friends at the time. My heart goes out to Freddie and his family. I remember diner with Doris, Freddie, and Avon.
