Tommy Soul is yet another mystery artist who may have been trying to hide his identity while moonlighting from another label or is a pseudonym for Tommy Williams who arranged the track. Whichever way it is I cannot shed any light on the singer except to guess it is a Chicago recording only because the other side "I'll Be Right There" was written by the Chicago partnership of Jack Daniels and Johnny Moore.
There was a Tommy Soul who was the drummer in Cliff Nobles and Co. in that same time period which had the hit song, The Horse. I wonder if it is the same person?

He also could tell a joke like no other. He was also very wise.I remember when I first heard his music on the radio, I was so proud! Love you Daddy!!!!Eloria
