Fred Wesley Interview
JB and Horny Horns trombonist Fred Wesley reflects on the years he spent as musical director for the great James Brown, specifically their 1974 performance in Zaire, which forms the centerpiece of the new documentary, SOUL POWER. Directed by Jeffery Levy-Hinte from footage originally captured by Leon Gast and crew during the Ali-Foreman fight and music festival, Soul Power will open theatrically in NY and LA on July 10.
