This is poppy but I like the song and I think it is catchy. Nooney Rickett had a big 45 on the Northern scene back in the 70s called Tomorrow Is A Brand New Day - however I prefer this side.
Back in the 70's I ran a club named the Raintree in Torrance CA. Nooney and his band, the Noon Express, played at my club and he great. The band was great, but I can't remember the name of his female singer. Any help?
I set this blog up back in 2005 to share my love of soul, funk and jazz music.
Thanks to all the people who have dropped by over the years and left comments or got in touch with me.
I am no longer posting on this blog due to other projects.
However if you browse the archives then you will be treated to posts featuring audio, Youtube clips, slide shows, interviews, tips on new releases, news features plus links to other blogs, websites, articles, books, magazines and videos.
I love Nooney too! He's awesome! He's my great uncle.

ReplyDeleteI worked with Nooney on this one. Should have been a major hit in 1966.
