The Meaning Of Louie: A Documentary by Eric Predoehl and Jesse Block

Fell on this new movie in the making on MySpace by Director's Eric Predoehl and Jesse Block.
The Meaning of LOUIE is a documentary many years in the making. It..s a quest to uncover the real story of the world's most misunderstood rock and roll song. It's the story about Richard Berry, the Kingsmen, Jack Ely, Rockin.. Robin Roberts, the Fabulous Wailers, Paul Revere & the Raiders, Mark Lindsay, Little Bill Engelhart, Dave Lewis, Ron Holden & the Playboys, the Frantics, the Sonics, Iggy Pop & the Stooges, Toots & the Maytals, Motorhead, Black Flag, Frank Zappa & the Mothers of Invention, Michael Doucet & BeauSoleil, the Sandpipers, and every other band that embraced this song, and took this simple little melody to new plateaus.
This is a story of both famous and obscure musicians that have personal histories with this iconic song. This is the story of the song that was investigated by the F.B.I. for supposedly obscene lyrics. This is the story of the song that inspired movements in the state of Washington and Oregon to declare it as an official rock song. The influence of this one little song is enormous.

This documentary has had a very interesting story in its own right.

I'll keep you posted on progress.
