Laura Lee Chess Collection

This collection came out a few months back and is an excellent package put together by Universal in a series which includes Laura, Ramsey Lewis, Fontella Bass and Solomon Burke. The series has been compiled and annotated by writer Lois Wilson.

This is the first time in many years that most of Laura's Chess cuts have been available on CD and Lois interviewed Laura specially for the collection which makes an essential purchase!

The 21 track CD contains some of Laura's most soulful recordings cut at the Fame studios in Muscle Shoals including "Dirty Man" and "Uptight Good Woman" and wonderfully remastered sound.
