An old friend, Thierry Boulanger has been in touch this week to let me know about an exciting event he is organising in Brussels. Besides Thierry - another couple of old soul mates Hans Diepstraten and Roger Williams are also DJing.Here is the message from Thierry:
After many talks, we've decided to do it again in the same bar we used last year (The Java Bar), and we've got the green light from the owner to do a Sunday session too. The other venues/bars we've visited had too many problems or didn't fit so we stick to the same formula. It's a small bar but it's also intimate, and this time, we'll have a decent sound system. I'm making this annoucement very early I know but only because we can book the Eurostar tickets 4 months in advance and get the best fares (£60 for a return from what I heard, and prices tend to increase over the months).
For those who weren't there last year, Brussels is fun with all the bars/hotels/historical points of interest in the same area and the Java Bar is right in the middle of it, only a few streets away from the Grand-Place (corner of rue de la Grande île and rue Saint-Géry (close to the Place Saint-Géry/Bourse).
Saturday Night: 9 PM till dawn Sunday afternoon: 4 PM till midnight
DJ's confirmed so far are Roger Williams, Paul Sutton, Miles Eastwick, Lilian Andris (F), Frank Breuer ("Cologne Soul") (GER), Hans Diepstraten (NL), Yves LePage, Timmy and myself.
