Great one, KSA! Hadn't found out about this Traci Borges production. Appreciate the edjumacation and the plug. I'll add it to the discography with thanks to you. Can you tell me what's on the other side?
Unfortunately, it is the instrumental backing track!
What I would love to know is how many 45s Traci Borges put out on Sunshime Movement? - the only other one I have is Lonnie Robinson's Sunshine Baby which I have posted about previously.
Colin, The R&B Indies (just got Vol 4)shows just one release on SM other than the Barons' single. It's #103, Sunshine Baby/Are You Sure You Want To Give, by Lonnie Robinson. Could that be Lionel Robinson? Anyway, Bob's got those dated 1980, which sounds right to me. Don't know if there were any more. I have been talking to a guy who did some arranging and playing at Knight, but he was gone by 1980. Peace.
Another Sunshine Movement Single is "The Sunshine Movement" "Danny Van" - "Lyrics, Music and Arrangement Traci Borges" Could be where the label name came from. I've been serching for other copies of this for about 5 years to no avail.
I set this blog up back in 2005 to share my love of soul, funk and jazz music.
Thanks to all the people who have dropped by over the years and left comments or got in touch with me.
I am no longer posting on this blog due to other projects.
However if you browse the archives then you will be treated to posts featuring audio, Youtube clips, slide shows, interviews, tips on new releases, news features plus links to other blogs, websites, articles, books, magazines and videos.

Hi Dan
ReplyDeleteI picked up the Lonnie Robinson circa 1976 as a virtual new release and always dated it about 75???
I picked up the Barons about a year later and again dated about 75/76.
Cheers
Colin
PS Dan
ReplyDeleteYeah Lonnie and Lionel Robinson are the same guys.
