Ace Records's In-house magazine Right Track is out again this month.The front cover is a cracking photo of Barbara Brown who is featured inside with a review of Kent Records new CD on the lady. This CD features her Sound Of Memphis recordings and has many unissued tracks. Hats of to the Dean Rudland and Alex Palao at Kent for unearthing these sides and creating a wonderful package of Memphis music.
Dean is also behind another must have CD Golden State Funk which he reviews in Right Track 137. This CD is drawn from the vaults of Leo Kulka's Golden State Recorders and and this collection is another mouth watering one with more unissued gems and classics.
Issue 137 also feature on Thelma Jones, Link Wray amongst others.
