The Voodoo Photographic Experience New Orleans 23/10/08


The 10-year anniversary celebration of The Voodoo Experience at Tipitina's French Quarter (upstairs) in the Big Easy happens on Thursday, October 23rd; the eve of the Tenth Ritual.

The event will consist of an opening ceremony and photographic exhibit featuring the work of photographers that have captured the magic of the Voodoo Experience throughout the years.

The event is free and open to the public. Doors will open at 8.00pm

ADMISSION: Opening Reception - FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC

The Voodoo Photographic Experience exhibit will feature work from photographers Andy Levin, Skip Bolen, Erika Goldring, Maria De Los Reyes, Melissa Carrier, Tom Zinn, Jay West, Barry Brecheisen, Erin Feinberg, Ryan Thornburg & Andrew Goetz.

The photographs selected capture and commemorate some of the legendary moments of the annual Voodoo Experience along with the rich spirit of New Orleans.

The Opening Ceremony and Exhibit will be followed by a performance by Dr. Claw featuring Adam Deitch (Lettuce), Nick Daniels & Ian Neville (Dumpstaphunk), Big Sam (Big Sam's Funky Nation) with Ivan Neville & Eric Krasno (Soulive) and other very special guests.

Dr. Claw show will take place downstairs starting at 10:00 PM at Tipitina's French Quarter showcasing a rare aggregation of musical talents bringing the finest of funk music.
