The Funky Muchachos

I have been adding plenty of new friends this week on MySpace and met up with The Funky Muchachos. Drop over and take a listen to their music

Here's what they say about themselves:

The Funky Muchachos was formed after Damon, Jerome and Harbans recorded some tracks for the Tito Lopez Combo. On those sessions the chemistry between them was apparent from the start and it was only a matter of time before they returned to the studio under their own name with their own groovy sound…. Here then are 2 tracks from the forthcoming debut cd 'Play Soul-Jazz'. Damon Butcher –Organ/Fender Rhodes/Keyboards Damon’s huge list of credits include regular touring and recording with The Beautiful South, Everything But The Girl, Rough Diamond and the seminal jazz funk band Morrissey Mullen. Harbans Srih –Drums Undoubtedly one of the funkiest drummers in London, Harbans was called in to lay down the groove for the James Taylor Quartet hit version of The Starsky and Hutch theme. Many others have called upon his brand of musical input. Harbans now leads the Tito Lopez Combo and his own band Vybesmen. Jerome Davies –Bass Guitar Jerome has played bass for many household names –Clare Teal, Marti Pellow, and Curtis Stigers to name but a few recent ones. He is in demand by singers and musicians in all styles of music from bluegrass to big band and contemporary jazz.
