The legendary, original Acid Jazz club night - Magic Bus is back. First started 18 years ago at the old T & C 2, the night is the label’s chance to play it’s favourite music. The bus has been parked everywhere from The Blue Note to The Milkweg in Amsterdam, from The Rhythm Factory to some obscure club in Poland! Coming into the 20th anniversary, we have found a new home at The Cock in Smithfield Market- steeped in AJ history, the venue played host to the original Acid Jazz nights back in ’87 (with djs Chris Bangs and Gilles Peterson!)
This time the Bus features Acid Jazz’s own Eddie Piller and Dean Rudland as residents alongside top soul dj’s Ivor Jones and Johnny Valatrone, but most impressively, we have a major guest in the shape of WAYNE HEMINGWAY, northern soul devotee, creator of Red Or Dead and top tele pundit, Wayne dips into his box to play the music close to his heart...
Expect Rare, Northern and Modern Soul., a little bit of jazz and some disco! and all for a fiver
