A fine new release from from Garry Cape's Soulscape label.The lost soul sessions of Mary Gresham, 24 vintage tracks recorded from 1968 to 1977 at Fame, Playground, Widget, Broadway Sound and Muscle Shoals Sound with veteran producers Terry Woodford, Clayton Ivey, Jimmy Johnson, Roger Hawkins, Jerry Weaver and Finley Duncan. 20 tracks are previously unreleased.
Garry says: "I hope you all enjoy this as much as I still do - now, over 3 years on from me first hearing it, 'Stay There And Try To Be Strong' still gives me goose bumps - I doubt whether Queen Aretha in her golden era could have improved on this .........."
