I didn't mention in the previous post on Roscoe and Ralph that there is an excellent CD out called "Soul of Neal Hemphill" featuring both singers and their work in Birmingham, Alabama with producer Neal Hemphill. The CD features both of Ralph Jackson's classic cuts "Set Me Free" and "Take Me back" for Neal's Black Kat label.The CD came about after soul fan John Ciba made contact with the producer's family. There was also a CD release party back in August for the CD held at the Bottletree in Birmingham. There are several sites displaying photos of the night:-
