Oscar Perry in Houston 2004

Only just picked up this great Goldmine collection of tracks from the Lone Star State which contains one of my all time fave uptempo tracks "Face Reality" by the late Oscar Perry. I've had this on tape since the mid-80s and it has always eluded me! It's the nagging guitar combined with the raw vocals from Oscar and incessant almost brutal beat which suits the sheer nakedness of the message - face reality girl!!!!

There are some other crackers on there as well including perennial favourites Melvin Carter's Teacher Of Love and Jeanette Williams "Something's Got A Hold Of Me" besides other goodies from James Davis, Bobby Conerly, Pic & Bill etc
